Synopsis
This film, shot entirely on the campus of Florida A&M University, concerns the struggles and triumphs of Darren, a college sophomore at fictional HBCU King College. At the thriving college, Darren battles with inner-turmoil as he struggles to determine the difference between what's right and what's wrong. Easily influenced by his dorm mates he tries to perpetrate the role of an arrogant "player". Yet in the company of his girlfriend, Charmaine, he displays a more sensitive side. A shocking act of violence causes Darren to reevaluate his relationships and redefine his purpose in attending the institution. He begins to focus on what is really important to him. A story of friendships built and bonds broken. An examination of the true motivations behind love, trust and betrayal. Welcome to the Chocolate City.
